I remember when Ryan was born, Nanny said that if she lived to be a hundred, she’d see him go on a mission. Well, that was 8 years ago, and she’s still going strong! Only 11 more to go. And then another 5 years for Andrew 🙂
 Happy Birthday Nanny!

 Happy Birthday Nanny!
Everyone (Alisa, Jason, Nanny, Dad, Mom, Andrea, and Brianna) came over (Lisa, Julia, Andrew, Matthew and I were already here) at about 3 pm. Alisa and Jason brought most of the food (chicken and ceasar salad) and while the meat was cooking, we relaxed in the living room and chatted. We decided to do the presents before dinner. Andrea got a good haul, but her favourite seemed to be a Maurauder’s Map based around Hildaworts. Jason is so good at that paper stuff! Nanny got lots of candy. For dessert, Julia made a cake and Lisa made Andrea’s favourite “sugar dessert”.
We’re just hanging around now after dinner.
Here are the two birthday girls (click on the picture to see a larger version):
Happy 21st Birthday Andrea!
Happy 89th Birthday Nanny!
This month is such a special one, it’s birthday time for you.
We’d really like to celebrate your happy day with you.
Zip-a-dee-ay and high-dee-ho, here’s something we can do.
We’ll sing a song that we all know, Happy Birthday, to you!35395, Children’s Songbook, Fun and Activity, Your Happy Birthday, 283
You can listen to the song here.
Happy 28th (oops, that you’re “real age“), I mean 21st birthday!
I bug Julia all the time for how late she goes to bed. Andrea was up late the other night and said that Julia logged in to MSN after 2 am. I’m sure Julia is sick of us all bugging her, but she says she doesn’t stay up that late. Well, last night I was woken up at 2:41 am by her coming home from the YSA activity in Toronto.
It’s not the fact that she’s staying up late, it’s the denials. The first step is admitting the problem, and that’s why she needs an intervention. Here we go:
It’s ok Julia. You have a problem. You stay out late. You stay up late (watching Gilmore Girls, ewww!) But it’s ok. You can overcome. There is nothing wrong with admitting that you have a problem. Other people have similar problems. Andrew used to have the same problem. He used to fight going to bed. He refused and kicked and screamed because he didn’t want to go to bed. But now he’s ok. He winds down with his routine chart, and goes to bed easily. You can do it, too. Just make yourself a routine chart, clean up your toys and brush your teeth, and just go to bed. You can do it! We’re here for you.
There, I feel better at least.
(of course as I type this she’s downstairs asleep 🙂 )
Graham if you brought that indoor ski resort to Miami you’d become a millionaire! Just think from the sand to the slopes in just minutes! Hey that’s a great slogan. Go for it!
If Andi can post about Dawson’s Creek than i can post my good news. I managed to get tickets to see Oasis live in Toronto even though they sold out within the first day! YAY! I’m so EXCITED! I can’t wait to go. In other news, next week Robyn, Stacey and I are going to look at a three bedroom house that’s only a five minute walk from campus. We’re excited. Hopefully it’s nice. And I found out yesterday that I don’t have to go on a dig until NEXT summer, which is a big relief. That’s it for now.
That’s a darn good question. I’m trying very hard to read my text book for tomorrow’s lecture and I am so beyond boredom. So, posting on my day today. I went to school a half hour early to teack someone some math and then I had my hour of microeconomics and my hour of math. Then I went to Best Buy to chat with some people and looks for gift ideas for dear old Brie to get me.
I’m now at home finding any excuse not read “Principles of Supply Chain Management” and I found some extremely good news on amazon.ca. THE FINAL SEASON OF DAWSON’S CREEK WILL BE RELEASED ON APRIL 4, 2006!!!!!!!!
That’s it for now!
No… not one of those electric ones, but one you use when making grape juice. Our neighbours behind us, Mr. and Mrs. Jones were doing some cleaning in their house and Mrs. Jones called me and asked if I wanted any Mason jars. I said sure (even though I already have 150+) and when Mr. Jones brought them over, he also had a juicer. I was very excited. I was going to be on the lookout for one at Value Village or garage sales. This one is in mint condition and I didn’t have to pay a cent. Too bad I have to wait until September to use it 🙁
I’m not a big winter fan. I don’t think any of us are really. But I do have to admit that this is pretty cool:

Thanks for putting this together Graham. I am expecially excited to hear from Alisa and Jason’s adventures, and how the Florida Family is doing!
