Hello Family!

Ron and I are so excited. We have heard back from Balls Falls and we got Saturday March 28th!!!!!!

We will have an Hors d’œuvre, dessert and dancing reception at the Balls FallsConservation area at 6pm.

Jason is making beautiful invitations as we speak, so they should be out in the mail in a couple of weeks if not sooner.

I will keep everyone updated as time goes on.

Hello Family. It has been a while since I have put up a posting, so here goes! Life is good. Christmas was so wonderful, it was hard to say goodbye to everyone and I dreaded going to work that Monday… hahaha. This past week has been really busy with YSA stuff and all around good times. I went to Edmonton with some friends on Saturday, rode the roller coasters and rides at the West Edmonton Mall. It was so much fun! We were out really late and then drove home. But no worries family I was extremely well rested and it was an alert, uneventful drive home.

This week has been work and work and work (and hanging out with Aden). Next weekend I am going to Lethbridge. So at least I am getting outside of Calgary a bit more now.

Hmmmmm that is about all for now, not an exciting post but meeeehhh what can you do?

Well I finally got my new car. It doesn’t quite feel real (I picked it up after work last night). I feel like I am driving a rental car. I bought a 2008 Toyota Yaris Sedan. It is Slate Mica I believe. It is a charcoal grey. I am looking forward to driving where ever I need to go and not beg for ride!

I am so sorry that I have been so terrible at posting on the family blog. I will try to be better.

Life here in Calgary is wonderful so far. I have friends and I am always out and busy which is so nice. Church activities, movie nights with the house mates, the neighbour girls across the way, I am having a blast. (And yes Dad I have had dates too!)

I will post a picture of my car when I charge the batteries of my camera.

I look forward to seeing most of you at Christmas time, I am so excited to come home for a visit.

Anyway life in Calgary so far is great. My roommates are so nice. They have helped me to feel really welcome. I am completely unpacked now so that feels great.

The job scene here to dental hygienists is insane. It is every bit as good as I have been told. Institute starts next week which I am excited about and the activities this week (Welcome Week) have been really fun. Yesterday was rollerblading (my ankles hurt!) , and tonight is a corn roast, and tomorrow is an outdoor dance, I am excited about the outdoor dance that will be fun.

I am excited and nervous about this Saturday, but mostly excited! I now have Skype (Alisa and Jason), and I will keep you all as up to date as possible with my life in Calgary. When I move out there I will have a new cell phone number so I will let you all know as soon as I have it.

Hello everyone. I though I would write another post to clarify some things for Christmas. We are to spend $50 plus tax on our “pulled names” gifts.

For Christmas Eve gifts we have upped the value of the gifts to $10. Remember for the game to work it is VERY important that you tell no one else the contents of the gift. (I mean you Hilda St. House – esp. Mom) hahahaha

I already have my Christmas Eve gift! Everyone is going to want it!

Hey everyone I believe I have neglected to tell you all that my car was hit last Wednesday night. It was parked and I was just about to pull out to run to Walmart and an old man missed the turn and hit the drivers side of my car. He was going very slowly and seemed very confused. I yelled, “you hit my car!” and he told me it was my own **** fault because I was driving in the middle of the road. (Remember my car was PARKED) Hahahaha. He also refused to pullover and he drove away.
I am fine I was a tiny bit shook up but the insurance company has been very nice and are taking care of it all. They have also assured me that they believe the accident was 0% my fault, 100% the other drivers fault so my insurance premiums wouldn’t go up! Yeah!

Who knows by the end of this my car may even look better than it did before!!
