I think today was the first day I’ve ever been to Value Village on the 50% off day. It was quite busy. Andrea bought a huge cushion for her bed (it’s the size of her bed and is in the shape of a “U”). Julia and Lisa both bought some stuff. Brie brought some necklaces to take apart for beads. I got nothin’!
We then came home and Julia tried to teach us a FHE lesson on keeping the Sabbath Day holy. Andrea eats, sleeps and watches Grey’s Anatomy on Sunday. Lisa prepares her lesson. I sleep.
I’m sure most of you know by now that Andrea had a car accident yesterday. She was unable to stop fast enough to avoid hitting another car that stopped suddenly at a train crossing. She is totally OK but emotionally shook up and very worried. We don’t know whether the car is worth fixing but the insurance company called today and will pay $35 a day toward a rental car for her. We’re just grateful she’s not hurt. Cars are replaceable but not Andi! By the way, thanks Lisa for your flattering write-up on last Sunday’s dinner.

The Wing’s of St. Catharines had a Valentines dinner at Hilda Street on Sunday. Mom did an awesome job. The turkey, stuffing, potatoes, gravy, coleslaw (no one makes it like Mom) the cake. The list could go on. Everything was delicious and decorated so festively and creatively (the Valentine place cards were very creative). Thanks Mom for all your hard work.
So yes, the date is now official. I am sure you were all very worried about my dating life. Chad and I are going to volunteer at a soup kitchen and then go out for lunch and hang out for the day. I am pretty excited about it. I will have to keep everyone up to date!

Lisa came back from Whitby yesterday with a few coins from her mother (I got my first 2006 coin!), so I’ve updated the page. That’s the rumour…
Yesterday was Lisa’s father’s birthday. She was just going to mail him a package, but Monday when we were going over our plans for the week I suggested that she take the kids and go and visit them. Andrew was very excited on Wednesday and had “packed” his backpack and apparently was carrying it around all day. Lisa kept telling him all day, “No, we’re not leaving until tomorrow.” I saw them yesterday morning, and then they left sometime after breakfast.
It was only one night, but it was weird being alone in the house last night. No Lisa, no kids, and no Julia (she was out till all hours of the morning with the YSA again). Every night before I go to bed I go into see Andrew and Matthew and give them a kiss and tell them I love them. They’re asleep, and so obviously don’t hear me, but if I don’t do it, I feel that I’ve missed something.
I’m looking forward to getting home from work today and having them there. Oh, and Lisa too 🙂
No one has posted a blog in a few days so I decided to say a few words. Snake, peach, plastic. That is a few words right? Ha ha.
Well today was my second time working Thursdays. It is fabulous. I love that extra few hours of work it make me feel like I am truly on the road to working full time again. The doctor that I work with on Thursdays is also more laid back, it is a very calm working environment. I came home and had a nap! What a life!
In about half an hour I will be going off to institute. I miss Andi coming to institute with me. We had good times…
Remember the “date” I posted about a week ago. Well he still hasn’t called. So I will not be posting things until they actually happen!
