I was in the club today checking some settings on the credit card units, when I noticed that they had some stickers for one of the local radio stations, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wild101.com\/\">Wild 101<\/a>. On the back of the sticker were some &#8220;important phone numbers to remember&#8221;. Among them was the White House, CNN News, the Barry Manilow International Fan Club, and an escort service. I figured that they were all fake numbers, so I called the White House. Well, you know what&#8230;? It was the White House! 202-456-1414. A woman answered (no automated message). Here&#8217;s the conversation:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Woman: White House<\/p>\n<p>Graham: Is this <strong><font size=\"+1\">the<\/font><\/strong> White House.<\/p>\n<p>Woman (after a short pause): Yes, this is the White House in Washington.<\/p>\n<p>Graham: Oh, sorry, someone gave me this number and I didn&#8217;t believe it was the White House. I guess it is.<\/p>\n<p>Woman: Yes it is.<\/p>\n<p>Graham: Ok<\/p>\n<p>Woman: Thank you for calling.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It was pretty funny. I felt stupid, but the woman was very pleasant. You&#8217;ve got to believe that she answers dozens if not hundreds of stupid calls a day.
