Updated coin needs

As you may (or may not) be aware, I collect coins. Yes, I’m a numismatologist

Anyway, I have a page on one of my web sites that I update occasionally with what my current coin needs are. Lisa came back from Whitby yesterday with a few coins from her mother (I got my first 2006 coin!), so I’ve updated the page. It is at http://gawing.com/coins/ If you are able to help me find anything, that’d be great.

All alone last night

Yesterday was Lisa’s father’s birthday. She was just going to mail him a package, but Monday when we were going over our plans for the week I suggested that she take the kids and go and visit them. Andrew was very excited on Wednesday and had “packed” his backpack and apparently was carrying it around all day. Lisa kept telling him all day, “No, we’re not leaving until tomorrow.” I saw them yesterday morning, and then they left sometime after breakfast.

It was only one night, but it was weird being alone in the house last night. No Lisa, no kids, and no Julia (she was out till all hours of the morning with the YSA again). Every night before I go to bed I go into see Andrew and Matthew and give them a kiss and tell them I love them. They’re asleep, and so obviously don’t hear me, but if I don’t do it, I feel that I’ve missed something.

I’m looking forward to getting home from work today and having them there. Oh, and Lisa too 🙂

I love naps

No one has posted a blog in a few days so I decided to say a few words. Snake, peach, plastic. That is a few words right? Ha ha.

Well today was my second time working Thursdays. It is fabulous. I love that extra few hours of work it make me feel like I am truly on the road to working full time again. The doctor that I work with on Thursdays is also more laid back, it is a very calm working environment. I came home and had a nap! What a life!

In about half an hour I will be going off to institute. I miss Andi coming to institute with me. We had good times…

Remember the “date” I posted about a week ago. Well he still hasn’t called. So I will not be posting things until they actually happen!

Well that is about all for now.

Bored

Waterloo is quite boring. Robyn and I went to see ‘The New World’. I think it’s the worst movie I’ve ever seen. We bumped into the missionaries on the bus to the mall… that was fun. They laughed at us when we said we were going to see a movie about Pocahontas.

I’ve done two of my six mid-terms so far. No marks yet.

I was bored yesterday afternoon so I cleaned my room and found my beadloom. http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c224/BrieBells/loom.jpg As you can tell by the size of the thing, I was really bored. Other than that there is nothing new in my life.

Nothing Much

This blog is about our lives and to help us keep in touch. Life is good for me, nothing much exciting happening.

However the one thing I was thinking about it regards to this blog is the Florida family. I would love to hear what is going on down there. How are Ryan and Lillie doing is school? Any class trips coming up? How is Jeff working his crazy hours and the stake presidency? How is Evy and her college classes? Anyway I would love to hear more form everyone!

P.S. Evy I still don’t know my work schedule yet.. I am working on it.

Wing Bowl I

Well, the first annual Wing Bowl was a tremendous success.  We started out with a slow-cooked roast beef dinner with french fries (no pizza and wings). After dinner we drew names for the competition.

Round 1 (Quarterfinals)

Mom played me (Graham) in Skip-Bo. I won.
Andrea played Dad in Uno Attack. Andrea won.
Julia played Nanny in Skip-Bo. Nanny won.
Lisa played Dad (he got to play twice since there was only 7 people) in Uno Attack. Lisa won (Dad isn’t very good at Uno Attack 🙂 )

Round 2 (Semifinals)

Graham played Andrea in Thirty-One for 15 minutes. At the end of the 15 minutes, they were tied and so the winner of that game won. Andrea pulled through to the finals!
Nanny played Lisa in Uno Attack. Apparently Lisa took advantage of the situation (Nanny having never played it before) and won.

Finals

Andrea played Lisa in Skip-Bo. There were 15 cards in their piles to start with, and near the end they both had one card on top with one card remaining in the pile. The first part of the game was very boring. It’s definitely not a spectator sport. But the last couple of rounds were amazing. We couldn’t turn away. During Lisa’s second last turn she managed to pick up 3 or 4 different hands. She was on a roll. Anyway, it came down to Lisa’s last turn, and she went out, just ahead of Andrea. Lisa was the winner!

Lisa won a DVD of the movie Lucas.

We look forward to Wing Bowl II…

Super Bowl

Everyone is invited to the Wing family Super Bowl. Supper is at 5 pm and following that there will be a round robin  tournament for a fabulous prize! Long distance entries are allowed even from as far away as Waterloo, Toronto or Florida. The tournament will involve some form of card game so that everyone has a fair chance. Rest up for the tourney!

I think I have a date

A guy asked for my phone number last night. I am sure Alisa remembers him… Chad. (Aka The Chad) We are hopefully getting together either next weekend or the weekend after. yea!!!

I am looking forward to the Winger Bowl.

Yay, it’s the weekend

This is the first weekend in a while where Jason and I don’t have anything going on. I’m very excited about that. We’re off to St. Lawrence Market tomorrow morning for a little grocery shopping (which I love anyway) and then the rest of the weekend is free, gloriously free. I’m planning on spending Sunday in my pjs baking. Place your orders for homemade goodies now!

What’s everyone else up to this weekend? Anything exciting?
